We collect information you provide when creating an account: username, email address, first and last name. We also collect content you create within spaces (items, files, messages), and limited technical data such as your IP address used for security and rate-limiting. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your billing is handled by our payment processor — we never see or store your full card number.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to provide and improve the Kuukan service, authenticate your account, and send essential communications (e.g., verification emails).

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. Files and content you upload are stored as long as your account is active.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on third-party providers to operate Kuukan: hosting (Railway), file & image storage (Cloudflare R2), email delivery (Resend), payment processing (Stripe), GIF and sticker search (GIPHY), and optional AI features (Anthropic — Claude — for chat, Google — Gemini / "nano-banana" — for image generation, and Meshy for 3D generation). Your data may be processed by these providers only as needed to provide the relevant functionality.

5. Cookies

We use local storage and session storage to maintain your login session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Kuukan, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use Kuukan.

3. Description of Service

Kuukan is a collaborative visual workspace where users can create, organize, and share content in real-time spaces.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create. By uploading content, you grant Kuukan a license to store, display, and distribute it as needed to provide the service. You must not upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: abuse or disrupt the service; attempt to access other users' accounts; upload malware; harass, threaten, or impersonate others; post sexually explicit, hateful, or violent content; or use the platform for any illegal activity. We may remove content and suspend or ban accounts that breach these rules.

7. Payments & Subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription. Fees are billed in advance through our payment processor (Stripe) and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period. We do not store your full payment card details. Mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence are unaffected.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

9. Limitation of Liability

Kuukan is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any data loss, service interruptions, or damages arising from use of the service.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Finland, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Finnish courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
